Community
Projects
In
partnership with local businesses, citizens and town government,
the Main Street Foundation has facilitated a number of projects
in the areas of beautification, economic development and building
community awareness.

So far,
we have facilitated a series of beautification projects in the downtown
that include businesses and a seasonal activity that has spread
throughout Topsfield. We have also begun improvements to the entryway
to Topsfield's Main Street area with the Welcome to Topsfield
sign at the corner of Route 1 and South Main Street.
Researching
what the community likes, wants and needs, strengthening communications,
offering information, assistance, advocacy and encouragement are
all parts of how we work within the community to help support and
strengthen existing businesses and foster new enterprise.
We
organized Topsfield's EXPO in 2002, 2003, 2006 and 2008 to highlight
the work of the many Town departments, boards and committees andthe
activities and contributions of the town's membership organizations
and non-profit groups. Set up like a fair in the Proctor gymnasium,
these popular events provided the opportunity for Topsfield's residents,
volunteers and employees to meet and greet one another and exchange
information. Expo in 2008 is the biggest ever with exibitions by
the Police and Fire Departments, the Cultural Council, the Proctor
Jazz Band and the business community.
