On
June 16, 2007, the Topsfield Main Street Foundation, in collaboration
with the Topsfield Park and Cemetery Department, embarked on the
ambitious task of overhauling 4 sites in town in an 8 hour period.
The sites included a barren outdoor space at the Steward Elementary
School, an underutilized public space with great potential at the
south end of Main Street, the camouflaged Town Events sign and a
local pizza shop. Many volunteers turned out to make this
day a tremendous success. A team of impartial and multi-generational
judges awarded prizes for each project.
